Darrin Eakins Wilmington NC

About Me

Darrin Eakins is a master at making seamless transitions. After an injury and illness forced him to leave his previous work as an orthopedic physician, he developed new interests and career pathways in the stock trading and investing industries after being forced to leave that profession. Having more time to devote to his hobbies was essential in rediscovering his family's love of painting and his enthusiasm for pickleball.

Eakins bases much of his present work, including biomedical stock analysis, on his prior experience as an orthopedic surgeon. This helps him make better decisions. This specialized subfield of the analyst profession evaluates the opportunities for financial investment presented by the pharmaceutical and other biotech industries. Eakins can study items in development from numerous firms from multiple angles and identify when it is a good moment to buy them because he has the perspective of a surgeon, which combines knowledge of patient care with knowledge of the operations of hospitals and clinics.

His interest in the stock market goes beyond medical equities, and he has evolved into a futures trader who is quite active. Trading futures successfully demands an in-depth understanding of the market and the ability to recognize potential profit possibilities. The futures buying by traders can be used either as a hedging strategy or for speculative purposes. When the futures contract ends, one of the primary skills needed is the capacity to speculate on the future price of a stock index or commodity rather than owning an individual stock. This is in contrast to owning a stock individually.

In the past, Darrin Eakins was employed in Willmington, North Carolina, where he worked full-time as an orthopedist specializing in sports medicine. An orthopedic surgery specialist's domain is diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the bones, joints, and muscles. In addition to that, they treat cancer, congenital disabilities, degenerative diseases, and injuries sustained in sports. As a result, Eakins is an authority on sports medicine injuries, particularly those typical of pickleball players.

He attended Baylor University for his undergraduate education, obtaining a degree in Science. He then went to Wake Forest School of Medicine, receiving his medical degree. In 1992, he received his diploma. After that, he finished a surgical internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University that lasted for a combined total of six years. In addition to that, he completed an additional year of fellowship work at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

After earning his doctorate in medicine, Dr. Eakins spent the better two decades working in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

He managed to make time for bettering the lives of others despite the hectic pace he kept maintaining as a surgeon. Because of this, he gave a house to the Habitat for Humanity organization in 2001.

Eakins was considered among the high flyers in his medical school class because he was one of the top scorers at the Wake School of Medicine.

Pickleball, fishing, sports injuries, health and nutrition, and acrylic painting are just a few of the many things that pique Darrin Eakins's interest in life. He is also interested in the stock market, futures trading, studying biomedical stocks, and trading in futures. In addition to his other interests, he is currently refining his analytical abilities with a concentration on the stock market by making stock market investments as part of his other pastimes.

When Darrin Eakins was a full-time surgeon, many of his interests had to take a back seat to his work in the operating room and in giving medical treatment to patients. But, after he retired, he reignited a lifelong interest in art that had been stoked by the lessons imparted to him by his father when he was a little boy.

Similarly, pickleball has proven to be a good opportunity for physical rehabilitation and strength development. In addition, as a joyful and competitive activity, it has assisted in the improvement of motor skills, the development of stamina, and the achievement of a new level of mental clarity via the practice of regular exercise.

In 2008, he was severely injured in a mountain riding accident. His wrist and shoulder were also injured in the accident. It resulted in several surgical procedures and the inability to continue working as a surgeon.

During the time he was recovering from several surgical procedures, he, like so many others, developed an addiction to oxycontin. Oxycontin was a commonly prescribed opiate that has since been taken off the market and is the subject of several legal actions because it is highly addictive. In the end, this resulted in sadness, isolation from family members, and divorce. He struggled with addiction and depression for ten years and went in and out of several different treatment centers and rehabs. Finally, in 2016, he overcame his addiction and depression by attending treatment in Florida at Life Skills, Boca Raton, and Half Way House in Del Ray for over a year.

He claims that he initially believed that he could overcome the disease through his willpower and intellect, just as he had done with all of his other accomplishments in life. However, he discovered that to overcome the disease, he needed to give in to it, admit that he had a problem he could not solve on his own, and seek assistance from other people who struggled with the same issues. It is a disease that he will never be able to overcome. Still, he will coexist with it and prosper if he admits defeat and continually prays to God and other alcoholics for assistance.
